Camp Handbook

  • What's an erph?
    (eric-ic)+(steph-ste)= ERPH!!!
  • What's camp rule #1?
Have fun and make new friends!!!!
  • When can I RSVP?
Guests can RSVP as soon as they know their plans. Included in the RSVP form will be questions regarding your selection of on-site vs off-site lodging as well as meal attendance for guests choosing offsite accommodations. Please navigate to our RSVP tab, where you will find the RSVP form and instructions on how to make payment to Hawkesdene for guests choosing on-site accommodations.
  • When should I arrive?
Onsite guests can arrive at 4pm on Thursday, April 17th. There will be a Welcome Happy Hour + Dinner beginning at 6pm open to all guests (on-site & off-site).
  • When should we book our travel?
We encourage you to book flights as soon as you are ready! We also recommend setting price trackers for multiple flights to get the best price! Visit the Travel tab for more details on which airport to fly into, and other helpful tips.
  • What about accommodations?
Hawkesdene offers luxury accommodations for guests to stay on-site! For friends & family staying on-site, Eric and Stephanie will place you in a room assignment. If you'd prefer a hotel or airbnb, there are plenty of options in the area! You will be asked in the RSVP form which option you are selecting (on-site or off-site). Keep in mind the wedding is Easter Weekend, plan early. For more information on costs for on-site lodging and a full list of off-site options, please see the accommodations tab. If you have any other questions, reach out to erph912@gmail.com.
  • How can I pay for on-site accommodation?
If you are staying on-site, you can submit your payment at any time by going to https://www.hawkesdene.com/guest-payments/ and fill out the payment form. You can make payments in installments if more convenient for you! Final payment should be made by March 1st, 2025.
  • What will our meals include?
Regardless of where you are staying on or off the estate, you are welcome to join us for all meals and activities over the course of the weekend. Hawkesdene provides farm-to-table breakfast, lunch and dinner! As well as snacks and refreshments all day long! We just ask that guests staying off-site please RSVP for meals so that we can plan catering accordingly.
  • Should we bring my own booze?
Beer and wine will be provided with dinners and events (signature drinks included at formal festivities and open bar at the wedding reception). Feel free to bring your favorite bevies for daytime and late night activities, and if you need to make a grocery run, there are an Ingles and a Walgreens 10 minutes away. Each cottage is equipped with it's own refrigerator for personal beverages.
  • Do I have to stay the whole weekend?
No, you are welcome to stay for however long you'd like! The wedding ceremony and reception will be on Saturday, April 19th; the rehearsal dinner on Friday is open to all guests. We would love to see everyone for as long as your schedules allow, but we understand that traveling and taking days off isn't easy. We truly appreciate all the time you spend with us. Please note the on-site lodging cost does not change if a guest chooses to stay less than 3 nights.
  • Can I bring my date?
The invitation is addressed to everyone we hope to see at our wedding. If your invitation says “and Guest,” then yes, if not, then we look forward to seeing only you!
  • Are kids invited?
We love your kiddos! but unfortunately camp erph is adults only.
  • What will the weather be like?
The owner of the venue called this time of year "soCal weather" !! Weather predictions based on previous years look to be mid 60-70’s during the day and 30-40’s in the evening. All wedding festivities will take place outside, so be sure to pack accordingly!
  • What should I bring?
Completely optional items to bring: Alcohol (for your room/cottage) Blanket or Beach Towel (for late night lounging and lawn games) Bluetooth speaker (to blast tunes at your cottage) Board Games and cards Books (there are nooks all over the property) Bug spray Earplugs (just in case!) Flashlight (it gets dark when you’re off the grid) Hiking gear (if ya wanna!) • What should I wear?
Please view each event on our schedule for the recommended attire. Spring mountain weather is difficult to predict. We're hoping for clear skies and warm temps, but please be prepared for possible showers and cool evenings. Comfortable walking shoes are a MUST for getting around the estate.
